1956 Honda SA250 Dream.
The restoration of these wheels involved getting “the details right”. The chrome rims were straight forward but the hubs were in a zinc plated finish. I had to liaise with my electroplater about the process and get the surface texture “just right” then hand back to the plater for final zinc process. The spokes are also made from zinc plated blanks and then laced with an inboard pattern. Please see the pics to see how this is done.
There was very little information about the SA250 but the evidence was there on the original wheels to see. I followed this and felt that the final result was very close to the original factory finish.
